I went with Renfros out of Bethel. Drop camp situation. You can bring your own camping supplies or pay them to provide. That part of Alaska did not have the 50 plus inch requirement. Obviously you want to kill a big one, but the difference between 48 and 52 is not much. I wouldn't shoot one far...- MikeP

Anyone else getting antsy?
Taking my boy to Utah for a deer hunt at the beginning of October. That will be a special time. Then I have a Nevada elk hunt in November! Can't wait for fall. Weather sucks in central California currently.- MikeP

Nitriding or something else for surface treatment?
I have a nitrided defiance action and it is awesome. Smooth and impervious to weather. -

Desert Bighorn Ram hunt,,
I drew a Ca desert bighorn with 3 points and a Colorado rocky with 4. I have been blessed but somebody has to draw! I used to think whats the point, but you gotta think "why not me?" The best hunts and memories I have ever had afield. Apply everywhere you can- MikeP

First time pronghorn
Super fun hunt. Does take seeing a few to judge them. When I hunted antelope in Wyoming they were rutting hard at end of September. -
