    My reply was a little "tongue in cheek". Any quality brand rings and bases are better than any Chinese knock-offs of the same product. I have found lots of accesories on Ebay are designed for air soft applications, and not the real world of hunting or serious competition.

    I guess you are lucky you discovered how crappy they were now, instead of half-way through a match when your scope falls to the ground in front of all the spectators. Go for the Murphy Titanium Rail and Farrell steel rings, or somewhere between that and what you bought.

    I read somewhere about sprinkling cayenne pepper (powder) in the soil where they like to dig. When they get a whiff of that, they won't go to that spot anymore. Not sure if that cures them or just makes them go to another spot. Worth a try.

    Broken drill bit removal in rifle stock

    Use a pin punch to drive it in another 1/8", then fill the hole up with filler. Touch up paint to finish it. Probably be undetectable after.     Maybe this rifle doesn't like the ammunition?? Try another brand with a different bullet type, weight, etc? If you get similar results, I would blame it on the scope.
