I grew up and spent my life in Colorado. I just moved 3 years ago to Kentucky! Cost of living is one of lowest in country. Coming from Colorado I was able to pretty much pay cash. I live in a town of 70k people with a mid major university. Tons of bars and restaurants, great schools...- Lab

Oregon is the bomb! I took a long trip out there one summer and all my friends said get ready for tree huger nation! I was shocked at atv, American flag flying, deer/elk heads on every wall and business, etc... It was amazed. I would have moved to Banden in a heart beat if I could!- Lab

Grew up Northern Front range. I 100% agree. I left for love 3 years ago after 50 years but I'll never go back and I planned on Wyoming or Northern New Mexico once I retired. Colorado has changed for the worse!- Lab

My 1st and 2nd lab (I've had 4) were the same way. I could go out on opening day and they would retrieve wounded ducks and geese everyone shot and didn't bother to look for. I almost hesitates to shoot because I knew I was coming home with my limit.- Lab

Thats what I was thinking too. Although when I moved I did not know there were resident only units. My elk unit is 161. I saw great moose every year. This unit is resident only. I am going to apply for the east side of north park I think. I appreciate it!- Lab

Yes- Is it worth it. So Colorado uses a point system lottery style. If I have 13 points I get 13 tickets in the bucket, someone else has 4 points gets 4 tickets in bucket. But the 4 point could still get drawn ahead of me by luck So essentially the system just buys you more chances does not...- Lab

Upland 20 gauge recommendations
CZ is the most amazing gun I shot in my 52 years. I bought a Quail 20 ga and it is the bomb. O/U Looks like it is a $3k gun but I bought for $600 My buddies marvel at my shooting and its not me its the gun literally. That thing shoots!- Lab

Teaching kids to clean guns
My dad was religious about it. We had to clean the guns every time we used them or even touched them. He also taught me to never go near the gun case until he was with me. I got whooped up something fierce a couple times I tried to take a peek without him. I clean my guns no matter what... -
