    I have always got mine but I have had buddies that didn't get one. They had plenty of opportunity but but missed them. They were not used to shooting past 100 yards. If you can shoot to 300 yards and have a rangefinder you will do fine.

    I like Crossfit type workouts because I hate running. These workouts are 15-30 minutes and you build up strength and cardio. I did 3-4 workouts a week and did a Tough Mudder event last year at age 42. It was 13 miles, started at 6,000 feet and went up to 9000 feet with 20 obstacles in between...

    CO and WY are relatively inexpensive to gain points in and there are some decent hunts for a few points. I would buy an antelope point in WY as well that way you could do a combo hunt at the same time. AZ and NV you have to buy an expensive license to get a point and the drawing odds are tougher...

    Looking for good recipe for venison roast.

    For us non resident hunters we are lucky if our animals hang for a couple of days. I had a processor in CO run all my steaks through a tenderizer. They were some of the best venison steaks I ever ate and it only hung for a day.

    I talked with a guy who got a small bull his 2nd week of hunting and it was right on the edge of public and private. I think I can find a better unit.     Looking for good recipe for venison roast.

    Brown the roast in a skillet with salt and pepper. Put in a crockpot with equal amounts of beef consumme and golden mushroom soup, don't add water. Two or three cans each. Cook all day. You can add carrots, green beans, onions, whatever you like. Serve with mash potatoes or wide egg noodles.

    Worm - Do residents have different unit numbers in NV? I hunted 101-108 last year and some residents referred to it as unit 10. I don't see 6 or 7 is that the units in the 60's and 70's?

    Has anyone hunted unit 23 for elk? I have 5 points and was thinking of burning them on 23. I know it is over 1/2 private land but there are some walk ins. I am willing to do archery or rifle. I was hoping somebody has ran into some elk while hunting antelope unit 72 or deer unit 89.
