One hell of a caribou hunt.
Ha Ha, funny. Nice rack though and ya the park would be a great place to hunt, if only...well there's always the chance of road kill but that can really get expensive. Now about that sheep, would they let you put it on the bus or did ya have to pack it out ?- alaskasourdough

Cost of a Caribou Hunt
One way to keep cost down somewhat but still get away from the road system and into the bush is to do a float hunt. Rafts are available for rent in both Fairbanks and Anchorage and probably other areas as well. Float trips are very popular with outsiders and locals alike and are much cheaper...- alaskasourdough

Just an after thought, if you happen to score on a record book animal you do not want to split the antlers, if you do it will disqualify you from the record books. Better to make absolutely sure before hand than to risk ruining the oportunity of a lifetime. Good Luck- alaskasourdough

10 day back pack hunt
Sounds like a great trip. Lots of good advice here, about the only thing I might add is some form of communication between hunters FRS/GMRS etc. or maybe something more powerful in case of emergency, maybe a radio that operates on aviation freq's, etc. You probably already have a GPS but if not...- alaskasourdough
