What an epic adventure and write up! It will be hard to ever top that UT bison hunt experience. Just out of curiosity, have you figured out what knocked the TACO out of commission?
Loving this thread! I've been able to get out a few times so far this spring and have done well. Midges have been working best for me. Lately my wife and I have been preparing for our first salt water fly fishing experience in early May (Belize).
Thanks for sharing Buzz! Glad your dad can still get after it at 78. I appreciate the fact that your family still gets together every year for the MT whitetail hunt. Brings back memories of growing up in WI and our annual deer camp foray.
I would say you and your family have had a great season so far! Congrats to both you and your brother! Enjoy your time in MT. I've been out the last five days and the whitetails around my place are cranked up and chasing does!
How about a spring British Columbia black bear hunt. You could drive to the destination and would have enjoyable, relaxing hunt while seeing lots of bears every day. Definitely could do it for $10K.
Late September, 2001. Was blessed with the opportunity to hunt the Mulchatna herd before the decline. Hope to hunt them again if I can draw a NR limited entry tag.
