I've got one on a 20" T3, the eye relief is a skosh light for this long armed magilla but I crawl a stock a lot.
I live in the Gallatin, if you're over this way shoot me a PM and we could meet up.
By the way, this rig is an absolute drill! Of the 6 different loads I've put thru it one went .6"...
Sounds like she has a 43X, that's one of my carry guns, I do carry it while fishing I just plan to single load it which is fine for snakes..I also carry a Walther P22 (I get it not a revolver), I've been carrying it for snakes and grouse with bird shot for 23 years or so. It's a plain join to...
Other than some of the usual units shutting down early (as per normal) seems like the action is pretty slow..
I'm guessing that'll change a bit come next week.
I don't mind the 329, especially with the 500 grips, add Specials to it for practice and life is easy!
I do have a 360 PD, it's a caustic little prick! I wouldn't go this way again....
I do carry a G20 with Night Sights, carry it in a Gun Fighter chest rig. I run a couple hundred rounds a year...
Good to hear about a few bruins being seen, keep in mind that far and away the best time is still to come..
As far as calls go, I'm absolutely convinced that most any call will do on any given day. You just need to find a tone, cadence, volume level etc that makes that bruin up and come in...
That's way cool! And I'd enjoy meeting you if Kurt and I meet up.
I way prefer to spot the bears first, then decide if I'm going to try to take them out or if I'm just calling them for giggles. I've learned over the years that most all bears look big when they're coming at you on the fly and...
Crit'r call is one of my fav's, the one in your pic appears to be their smallest model (called the PeeWee). I carry that and use it a bit, but I normally use their biggest model (Magnum). The Magnum one can really get into and when I'm calling for bear I'm 110% in their face with the call from...
One of my favorite things to do, I've been calling bears since 1982 totally the juice for me..
To date I've called in over 60 of them, so I've a bit of experience with this. If you wish I'd be more than glad to talk over the phone or meet you for lunch one of these days to cuss and discuss...
I have a 360 PD as well, like you say not a ball of fun with BB loads, even heavy 38's in it get my hands attention. I did put some bigger Hogue grips on it and that's helped. I did finish off an elk with it, glad it only took one shot:)
Personally I prefer to shoot a 329PD to the 360 PD (both...
That that that rifle is one sexy beast! I could make you a trade for a certain 17/223 and toss in a bear hunt for your grandson.....snork
The ram is pretty darn nice as well:)
