Great pics and I am glad the pup is working out. Looks like a great friendship for years to come. That second picture could have been me 40 years ago except they didn't have those great neoprene waders. I had the old rubber ones that froze your toes off. I got a pup about the same time and he is...
JJJeeeezz I think I gave you that advice in a private PM hint hint on an archery site, I think Bitterrooters will know the two areas I was talking about. You need to add a tired pony with it. :D lol
I am sorry for your loss. From all the pictures you have posted on here that dog has had a wonderful life and it was blessed to have been part of your family. We got our second lab puppy and we were talking and said the last one was 12 so if this one makes it to 12 our son who was a first...
She is so cute. Hope you get some sleep the first night. Our little guy gets walks and swimming in the evening to wear him down. He makes it till six each morning now. Have fun and keep us posted.
Doing it myself, I am joining a retriever club and I do have a good mentor trainer who I can train with. She will definitely help me force fetch him. I have a gun dog now who I trained and she turned good even despite me :D I am following the Bill Hillman puppy dvds now.
Good luck on...
She is so cute, I bet you can't wait to bring her home. Here is a pic of my litter, green and purple are girls and gone as I am getting a male. The first pick male wants orange collar the big beast. I am down on the list so I get a pick of the last two males. I am sure he will be a better dog...
I will get him around May 12th and will post a pic. I see your litter hit the ground 1 yellow male, 1 yellow female, 5 black males, 4 black females. What are you getting?
I am excited as I have a deposit on a Jazztime black male pup. The father is Artic, Jazztime Northern Exposure FC-AFC. He is a Trip Frequent Flyer pup still running field trials at age 10. The mother is a Master Hunter QAA and an upland guide dog. Will be flying in from Minnesota in early May...
It is funny that people think deer see the same as humans. Do some research, these same guys that don't wear orange will probably wash all there clothes with detergents with UV brightners so they look like a beacon to all deer on the mountain. If you don't want hunters or game wardens to see...
In Missoula look up above the L on the hill and the you will see the Mount Jumbo elk herd. It isn't up close and personable but you should see some elk.
That was BS to give him a ticket, that is what game wardens have told me to do. The warden should have hiked back to the elk in the field and if no tag then wrote him up. I was always told by wardens the tag stayed with the animal in the field and comes out on last load.
If the girl is from the area or even close they should know people or be pointed in the right direction that could get her a sheep. Are they asking for somebody to take her hunting? That is scary letting a 14 yo girl hunt with a stranger. Hopefully it works out for her, seems dad could switch up...
Take her down to the sporting goods store and let her shoulder a bunch of guns and see which fits er best. I would take her to the local trap club and there usually are people there who will let you shoot a few shells through there guns to see what she likes and fits her and hopefully she can...
