Mountain Goat field judging
Never ate a bad tasting goat. They were all tough though. I was eating some goat meat last week from my 2018 kill. Roasted, barbequed or fried it is like chewing gum. In the crockpot it is perfectly tender.- Cowkiller

Mountain Goat field judging
The only thing harder to field judge than a pronghorn is a mountain goat. I'm not making any guesses other than the length looks good. Here is a closeup of the bases on my 2018 CO goat. They measured 5 5/8 and 5 4/8.- Cowkiller

Go to Pronghorn Guide Service Website. Look at the picture gallery. I assume virtually all of them are 80" or bigger. Many are obviously huge. Many are not obvious. Not to me anyway. I do think my estimate of 15" long is too much by an inch. My mass may be off by as much as three inches... -

Mtmuley yes mass is more important than length. I shot an 85" net that was less than 15" in length. Need more angles to guess your buck. Also harder for me to even guess on a cleaned skull. -
