Back up rifle for big game hunts
Do you bring a back up rifle on your hunts? If you do is it the same make, model and cal? I currently mix my back ups: Elk 340 and 300 Win, Deer 300 Win and 30-06. A friend uses a 300 Win and a 7 Rem Mag for all game. During a Elk hunt he missed a nice bull several times at under 100 yards. Back... -

Where are the young hunters??
I have hunted a very long time and in lots of places for big game to birds and anymore all I see is gray hair. Three years ago a wounded spike elk came by me after some shooting way up the ridge. Blaze Orange
When I hunt I always wear lots of orange. Start with a orange ploypro zip up shirt then a vest when warm and a hat . In cold weather I have a blaze camo parka I put on first then the vest.
