    15x Binos vs Spotting scope

I’m looking to purchase an optic for future Arizona deer, elk, and javelina hunts. I’m not as focused on picking out trophies as I am with finding mature animals. I’m a newer hunter and care more about the food and adventure. Would I be better off using high powered binoculars for extended...

    Elk ecology reading

Does anyone know of an alternative book to North American Elk: Ecology and Management. The book is out of print and sells for about $300 on eBay. I’ll never be able to convince my wife of that kind of purchase. I’m wanting to learn about foods that elk prefer in Utah.

    Cow Elk Needs

    Looking for a spotting scope

I’m hoping to draw my tag in a general Utah mule deer unit. I’ve never had a spotting scope, let alone look through one. What would be a good magnification range? I’m leaning towards a scope with no more than 65mm objective. I’m planning on doing a lot of hiking too, so I don’t want a heavy...

    Cooler capacity

I'm looking to buy a cooler for a mule deer hunt in Utah. Can I get by with one cooler? If so, what size cooler would fit a boned-out deer? Also, which brands do you recommend? An Orion cooler would nice, but I'm now on a tight budget after buying all my other hunting equipment.

    Hello from Utah!

Hello everyone, I've been living in Utah for a little over 7 months now. I'm excited for a chance to hunt the West. My eagerness to learn has become an addiction. I grew up in Kansas, so learning how to hunt this mountinous land will be my biggest challenge. I have many questions and appriciate...
