Learning about Elk
I've never hunted outside the southeast, and thus have never hunted elk. However, it won't be long now until we'll have a chance to hunt them in Kentucky. I'm a little curious as to their typical patterns in a given day? How far will they roam around? Most deer around here like everywhere... -

This photo was taken at Cataloochie, NC. These elk were taken from the LBL herd in western Kentucky and transplanted to the Smokey Mountains in North Carolina. It's not going to be long for us to get the opportunity to hunt elk in Kentucky. Skipper -

Had the opportunity to test your safety harness? I got to thinking about that Saturday in the stand. I always put it on, but if I actually had to use this thing, what kind of mess would I be in? Maybe instead of breaking my neck, I'd hang upside down till dead. I don't know what exactly would... -
