    Speed is not your friend with soft lead. Keep the loads moderate and you’ll be much happier cleaning the gun and whatever you shoot with it.

    Just barely. Blade it all off, sterilize the dirt, fence it and lots of traffic in and out, I guess the neighbors benefit a little so that’s something.

    It’s NM, you may never draw that tag again, why not get all the help you can? I drew NM for the 1st time and there’s 30 tags for my hunt, not likely we’ll all end up in the same canyon.

    NR’s drew less than 5% of the elk tags last year. And NMFG won’t allow NR’s to hunt cows.

    You’re making the assumption that ALL outfitter tags are going to NR’s, I can’t find the data to support but I doubt that is the case.     Antelope totals broke down to: 2423 tags, NR drew 102. Resident 88.03% NR 4.21 Outfitter 7.47 Pretty tough when most units have 1 NR tag.

    On elk tags it’s already pretty close to that, 88.8% went to residents and 4.23% to NR in 2021. The rest were outfitter welfare, no data on how they were split.
