7mm-08 150 gr velocity in short barrel
I’m glad this thread is back from the dead. Still has relevance IMO. I’m not handloading 7-08 yet but seems RL17 or staball6.5 has some extra fps behind them if you believe the hype. Just picked up a 20” 7-08 1:8.5 myself and am excited to do some winter load development- TripleDeuce

TriStar malfunction
Glad no one was hurt on either of those OOB discharges. I have a Tristar semi 28ga and love it, the furniture is beautiful. But say whatever you want about them, keeps the prices down.- TripleDeuce

7mm-08 with 1:11 Twist Rate
Just picked up a Ruger American G2 in 7mm-08, practically gave it away. Was surprised to learn it was a 1:8.5 twist, 20” and threaded.
