    Educate me on packs

I use a Mystery Ranch Metcalf 75L that a guy decided to sell after popping a couple discs on his first elk hunt. I use it pretty much on all of my hunts, from day hunts to a few days backpacking into the bush. The meat shelf is pretty nice to have and can be used to pack additional gear.

    Educate me on packs

Don't you always give me crap about using a pack to haul meat and not a tratter or ATV?

    Unreal.

... and stories like this are just the greedy or unlucky poachers who get caught. I can't imagine how many aren't getting caught. With growing hunter numbers, the rush and thrill to fill a tag and post about it, and lack of conservation officers all around, I can't imagine how many animals are...

Biologist wants to increase doe harvest in region 3 units - Help!

It seems like those same biologists just hate everything with four legs at times though. Our new draw supplement/quotas are out and there are drastic changes across the board. Mule deer antlerless tags are pretty much non-existent, most OTC tags went to buck/bull only and quotas have been...

“Traditional” First Aid vs “Wilderness” First Aid Course

I'm a Canadian Red Cross First Aid and CPR instructor, as well as a Medical First Responder/Firefighter. I've also done many Combat First Aid courses with the Army on top of field experience. As someone who regularly responds to medical calls as a medical first responder, I would say that the...

How many still tip waiters and waitresses at 20% or more?

I personally think tipping has gotten out of hands, here anyway, it's absolutely insane that most businesses' first of 3-4 tipping options is 20%, as well as the fact that some owners collect the tip, not the employees. Servers must make minimum wage which is $17.75/hr here. Tipping at a sit...

    Why We Love Wyoming

I was 12 when this thread was started. Likely downloading a bunch of viruses on the family computer and watching things a 12yo has absolutely no business watching.

General meme thread - NSFW -

It's a pretty big debate here. There are basically two camps; those who call it a hoodie like normal sane people, and those who are wrong. But yes, a significant portion of Sk calls it a Bunnyhug... 😬 Edit: TBH I expected something a little more saucy when getting tagged in a NSFW thread... 🥲

Stuff you don't like for no good reason

I'll give it to him, he can gut a deer with a surgeon's precision, it just takes him 30 minutes. 😬

Stuff you don't like for no good reason

My FIL hunted for well over 50 years and has killed hundreds of deer. I still had to show him how to breakdown and butcher a deer a few years ago. He's yet to breakdown another deer since.
