In my opinion, the answer is easy, and it's kudu. Is your limitation on one extra animal based on time as well as budget? I ask because in a lot of places, a kudu might cost as much as two or three of your other choices combined (taxidermy and shipping notwithstanding). Where I hunted last...- Pancake

Bear opportunity?
Lots of guys have success in the no quota zone. I personally haven't hunted any of it so I can't give you any concrete recommendations, but I know there are a plenty of successful outfitters and DIY folk tagging out every year. If you can find a reputable outfitter or have a handle on... -

Keep building Wyoming elk points?
If you would've applied in the regular general elk draw last year with 3 points, you would've been about 50% to draw. If you'd bought the point last year and then applied this year with 4 points, you would've drawn for sure. You probably missed your best opportunity to guarantee a tag, but... -

Unit 7 upland combo hunt
Interested in this as well. I'm in for unit 7, and I think I'll draw (although, you never know given the tag reductions and point creep). Wasn't so much curious about upland, but I was wondering about waterfowl in the general area. -

Whitewater WMA (MN)
Lots of turkeys down there. Should be a fun hunt! I've never looked into camping, but the state park is where I'd start my search too. Seems like it's probably a good bet.- Pancake

Timing to contact regional biologists re winter/populations
I talked to a biologist today, and he shared with me what the proposed tag allocation was going to be for a unit. I think I'd agree that you might as well wait since all of this information ends up being public anyway, but they definitely have a general idea of what things are looking like now.
