    High Wind Damage

People were slow on the phone this am but I’m swamped now. Just took care of this one and headed to my second. Time to rescue a car!

    High Wind Damage

I only have one call so far. MtnElk had two big pines blow over up in conifer. My guess is it will pick up tonight or tomorrow when people get home from work. I don’t do a lot of work up North though and don’t do any advertising so it shouldn’t get to crazy. I have a couple contracts I was...

    Truck/Camp Chainsaw

All my old stuff got stolen by a tweeker on a jobsite last year right out of the truck while we were in the yard. Now I have two 500i. They put the carb saws to shame. And I haven’t found a saw that beats the husky 562xp in the tree. It’s the weight of a Stihl 362 but cuts like a 462.

This, there are probably many others as well. Was having a brain fart.

    Truck/Camp Chainsaw

Have you seen my photos, I don’t really fit a mold. I use the best saw available in each size. Power to weight ratio is the most important when you have to climb with it on your hip. Also the electric saws are great in heat and quick accessibility. Nothing worse than trying to start a stubborn...

I don’t think you can get anything without electronics anymore.

    Truck/Camp Chainsaw

Higher octane, no ethanol, and unvented with a screw cap so doesn’t run the risk of spilling.

    Truck/Camp Chainsaw

I own a bunch of electric and gas in all shapes and sizes. The high end electrics are amazing these days and likely have more power than their gas counterparts. BUT if it’s in the teens or below the batteries won’t work unless you warm them up and even if you have the ability to charge them they...

    MKC vs Eastmans?

I got this puppy for under $20! Just feels so natural in the hand and shouldn’t lose it if I drop it on the ground like my victorinox. Blade is basically the same. After working with my buddy in the meat shop on some bison I can’t imagine using a different style of blade breaking down an animal...

    MKC vs Eastmans?

Oh come on…. Maybe you could use a knife like that to cut straps off of the gear pinning you down under your flipped atv… Also, lions and tiger and bears!

That’s a nice way to put it!

    MKC vs Eastmans?

It’s way safer than piling a pickup truck loads worth of stuff onto an atv….

    MKC vs Eastmans?

I own two of the mkc. The speedgoat and mini speedgoat. I paid full price for one and about half from someone on here for the other. I thought it would be a great knife for breaking down an animal but wasn’t a huge fan. As @Gerald Martin said, the parachord gets nasty. I replaced it after a...

    Broken Euro

Honestly I don’t know, it was the big game animal I ever shot and I had a taxidermist in Gypsum, CO do it. Feels like it was something the antlers were screwed into or formed because I only cut a small V of the skull out at the antlers, not the full skull plate or anything.

That sucks, sorry to hear. This is the best looking one I have seen. Done with deer hide.

Buzz and Jeff: Another Wyoming elk hunt!

Good work, that doesn’t look like Wyoming in December! That’s wild. And the weather doesn’t look like it’s going to change anytime soon!
