    Wolves need managed!

Yea I don't know. There are plenty of great places to hunt elk that have strong populations of predators. Agree they need to be managed, but I don't buy that predators will be the reason that big game hunting on public land goes away.

Welcome to the "no spin zone"

Thank You Rep Mike Simpson. H.R. 718

Great to see my Idaho Rep sticking his neck out and breaking with his party.

    10 ply tires

Toyo's have been really solid for me. They're also some of the lightest 10 ply tires I've seen and apparently that is an advantage. Can't speak to the Cooper.

    WTB Rem 700 SA stock

I have a Bergara short action stock from a rifle with a carbon barrel. So there'd be some extra room but it should fit. I'll also probably be selling an AG composites stock from the same rifle once I get a different stock. I'm indecisive and it's expensive!

Dept of Interior handed over to DOGE

What is with secretaries being cool with abdicating their power to unelected bureaucrats? What is Burgum's job now? I wonder if I could just sign all of my responsibilities over to someone else...

    Water is Wet

Is water wet? Or does something become wet when water is on it?

Eh, definitely easier with a rifle, but Wyoming muzzy rules are vague and allow pretty much anything to allow you too shoot a bit further.

Other ideas to fill the freezer?

Yea honestly I haven't looked since I was a resident and it has been a few years. That's too bad. I could always rely on grabbing a leftover tag only a few years ago.

Other ideas to fill the freezer?

Leftover Colorado mule deer licenses can be a good idea. Usually there are plenty of buck and doe licenses available and you've got a good shot at taking one.

    End of Grizzly Delisting?

I think Nesvik will likely have to recuse himself from any discussion on delisting G bears. At this point, I think it is important that hunters take a close look at the recent USFWS Grizzly bear proposal and focus on the 4(d) rule. It won't be a delisting, but if we can get 4(d) rule language...

    End of Grizzly Delisting?

Geez, Happy Friday to you too, Randy! Unfortunately, DOGE has been acting without really thinking about the implications of their actions. Living in an area surrounded by public land we've seen many many folks lose jobs, then be hired back, but ultimately not really know what the next day holds...

Shooting across private land from public to public

I assume it isn't illegal but likely frowned upon. Meateater had a Wildlife LEO on a few years back to talk about it I think.

Colorado Elk Unit 41,42,411 1st Rifle

So true, some of the 'open' stuff on OnX is actually head high oak brush that is virtually impassable! Also, saw one of the biggest bears I have seen on opening morning of first rifle. Grab a bear tag!

What to do with moose roast.

Eat it! I'v never made it with moose, but I'd do whatever you'd do with beef, just add more fat. Either way, should be delicious!

Selling Public Land for Budget Reconciliatory Bill

Where's Trump on this? He's said numerous times that he wouldn't get rid of public land.

    Carnivore Diet Options While Hunting

Curious as to what non-carnivore foods you have reintroduced that are making you feel that way. Hunting on carnivore would be tough unless you planned to live off the land. Lots of jerky/salami and cheese I'd guess.

    RIP Val Kilmer

OH man, I forgot about Ghost and the Darkness. What a gem of a film. Top Gun is likely my most watched movie of my life. Up there with Jaws. I could go for another viewing.

    Wy muzzy with daughter

I'm not saying you shouldn't, just saying that you should be very certain of where the corner actually is if it isn't marked. GPS can be off a few feet and that may be all it takes to be tresspassing and landowners may be a little bit more vigilant now that they expect a lot of people to be...
