Sometimes yes and it works just fine.
Grandpas 300 win with a straight 6 bushnell.
Dad's pre-64 30/06 with a redfield scope bought in the mid 70's:
I would hunt the rest of my life with either and wouldn't feel the need for anything else.
Oh, and I also used nosler partitions of the 180...
Make sure there is nothing metal touching the glass on the window mount...never done it but know guys that have. Takes just a small piece of metal touching the glass to shatter it.
They really need to put this Peak ammo on the Home Shopping Network...I think a bunch of hunttalkers are regulars on that channel.
Probably sell out in 20 minutes.
It's never not absolutely hilarious to watch the easily influenced gripe about the price of NR tags, then buy every single piece of dogshit that they think is "innovation". Usually that "innovation" is used to kill a critter they could shoot 99% of the time with grandads '06 and weaver K4.

My good friend George and his cow elk he shot a week ago or so.
The guy is like clockwork, kills at least 1 elk every year, or has been the past 24 years we've been hunting together. I hope at 84 years old I can still get out there and have the desire to hunt elk.
Wow, take my 84 year old buddy out to try for his second elk of the season (so close to seeing him blast a 280ish 6 point yesterday, just another couple seconds) and I miss all the fun.
Like he said, he probably didn't NEED another elk, but it broke my heart watching that bull leave.

Easy to see who follows influencers and who doesn't.
Just what I need more reloading crap, more dies, etc. all for 100 FPS gain? For about 99% of my shooting on big-game, there is no difference, for the other 1 percent, an extra mil/moa click on the scope.
Not buying into the hype.
When the Montana draw results came out I found out that my brother Matt drew his second Montana bull moose tag and another friend I've known since I was 9 years old also drew a cow tag.
The units were in bordering units, which was convenient.
Got in touch with @Point Creep about the areas and...
My good friend Eugene had the best line ever when a grizzly popped up really close when he was guiding a bowhunter in the thorofare. The dude asked him what he should do as the bear was popping its teeth.
He told the dude "get out your bear spray and take your beating like a man."
Woke up in Alaska to a sow and 2 year old brown bear ripping my buddies pack apart about 30 feet outside the tent.
He shot next to the sow into the lake about 3 feet from them. Didn't even look up. I shot a softball sized rock about 6 inches from the sows hind foot...that got her moving off...
