As mentioned already - logistics that far up north are a bear. If you can find a way to get your meat frozen, 'fish boxes' are pretty common and easy to fly with. The antlers are another story.. Definitely highly recommending the previous comment on bringing a physical compass. I got turned...- Toast

Sorry for any confusion. They very well might have, I'm providing it more as a frame of reference for timing of results to begin to roll in. It was 2pm ET when I used the backdoor, probably 5:30p ET when the successful result was actually posted on my account. This was April 15th of last year...- Toast

One is certainly easier than the other. I'm just saying that, if done correctly, there's no comparison. -

If you would practice with your muzzleloader the same amount that you practice with your bow (which includes routine maintenance and care!) then you won't have any issues. Also - most guys aren't shooting beyond 50-60 yards with their bows. Muzzleloaders are effective to easily 100 yards, maybe... -

Got it done in Montana after a 3 year dry spell on elk. Truly a 6x5, but god's smallest kicker technically makes it a 6x6. -

Yep - you're right. Went back and looked: the last time Sept 1st fell on a Sunday (like it will in 2024) was in 2019, where the season dates were 9/7 and 10/26.- Toast

Does Montana produce their upcoming season dates any further than a couple months in advance (like CO posting season dates for 6 years)?
