That’s what I’m thinking. Only 4k PSI max difference between the two. Load a slightly faster burning powder in the 7-08 and they’d probably be close enough that no cervid would tell the difference.
For any of y’all shooting a 99 in .250 Savage, are you able to get 100gr. projectiles (specifically the 100gr. Partition) to stabilize in the original 1:14 twist? Think the 99s went to a 1:10 in the 1960s.
A collar in order to make enough shoulder to seat the suppressor against? I had to do that one of my Tikka custom jobs and you really don't notice it when a suppressor is mounted.
