The archery season opened here and someone got a giant green score 455 I dont know how to repost pics but I know folks on here do so maybe someone will for folks to see its a dandy
...slow for us in B zones. Lots of hot, dry weather with a lot of lions and bears. Our group saw hardly any deer all season. However, I got super lucky and tagged out during bow season on a couple tanks and my daughter got lucky to get her first buck ever during rifle which was also a dandy!
Thanks for taking the time to reply!
Even though I have the means,
This won’t be the trip I drop $10k for a guided bull hunt and it might not even be the state that I do as well.
Getting in the draw is first and I what do after that I’m still figuring out. As much as a guided Cow hunt sounds...
...it much on deer, cuz the single shot platform cost me a huge buck...after a shameful miss, so it was my fault! I cannot find ammo for it and since I don't reload...yet, I've shelved it. Recently picked up a 35 Whelen for my "bear gun" as I can find ammo for it. The 338 Federal is a dandy though.
Thanks for the pictures it was enjoyable reading about your hunt. Chukar are always a challenge. Some years are exceptional. I hunted Nevada most all my life every Saturday. The best part was watching the dog picking up scent then locking up
Good story to go with a dandy buck! I always want a good hunt to go with the buck. I really hope I never get out of my truck, walk 20 yards down the trail and look up and there is a giant buck standing there and I shoot it. That would be a letdown of a hunt!
Congrats to you and best of luck...
I've always gone with an outfitter and have killed some dandy whitetails in the SE part of state.
They put a limit on non res tags a few years ago and now lucky to get drawn every 2nd or 3rd year.
All fine and dandy, except for water. They get tired of Helena talking about lake access so they want to take ours away!
