If I’m going to wear threads out, ding them, or accidentally cross thread, I would much rather it be a CB adapter than a barrel. That’s easy to replace. The CB adapter goes on with locktight and stays put. Zero chance of damaging the barrel threads.

Also, most of the suppressors come with a 5/8-24 adapter or brake. If you want a different thread pitch all you have to do is send it in and they will swap it. I run the CB brake version so I can easily swap it between rifles. They have a direct thread too which would be nice if you are...

I have an Ultra 7 and a Magnus K. Both are great suppressors. The Magnus is a lot thicker and shorter than the 7. I really don’t notice much of a difference. If I had to do it over again I would have just gone with the Magnus.

I didn’t pay attention, I put it on after morning coffee and walked away. So maybe 9-12 at 250 then 12-4 at 200. I went by smell more than anything. Once the house filled with the scent, I know it’s mostly done. Then I just kept it warm till it was dinner time.

That would be a great cut for this. It I would think with the amount of liquid it would take two roasts. Both those shoulders were small and it was a lot of liquid. My family of 4 ate and then I froze enough for a whole extra meal.

Here is my take away. Flavor is great and it is probably my favorite way to do antelope shoulders. 3 ingredients and in the oven at 250 for the day. About 3 hours in it smelled really good and I turned it down to 200. The shoulder blade took one shake and the meat just fell off. Now the...

Taste good, only really need a tad bit of salt. This will be stuffed into fresh tortillas later tonight and then stuck on the blackstone.

The big 18 and adult things?

When you look back at life like us older folks do there will be moments of regret. Something we said, did, or didn’t do. It’s like thinking of a snappy come back 5 minutes after you leave. Best way to limit those embarrassing flashbacks is to just be honest in everything you do. Try...

If that is what it takes to provide for my family, that is what needs to be done. When you choose to raise a family, your job is to provide.

Thing is, no one forced anyone to stay in the trades and go without a paycheck. McDonald’s was always hiring. @TrapperJ sometimes in life we have to swallow our pride in between stepping stones. Is McDonalds or driving a school bus a place you want to work, probably not. Will it be a...

So one thing that way is when you slice it you will still have blood that runs. That can make the bread soggy. The sous vide under vacuum keeps all that juice in the meat. When it’s sliced it all stays put. What little juice comes from the meat stays in the bag and is the base for your...

I’ve done similar, I’ve made a variation of this probably 100 times. Different ways to make the meat, different seasoning, different bread types, jalapeños, peppers and onions, and the list goes on. This is a conglomeration of what we found worked best and the simplest. Backstrap works great...

The big 18 and adult things?

Yep, best decision I ever made. I grew up, I met my wife, I started saving, I had the money to buy my first house, I went to school and had no debt, & I retired from the military at 40. I get a pension every month on the 1st. It pays all my bills and I am free to do whatever my heart desires.

Great advice! I will add if you’re physically able, do a stint on Active Duty in a job you think you would enjoy. I had so much fun in my early days of service. It set me up for everything I cherish today.

That bread was available from Costco. Any sourdough loaf style bread would be fine.

I attached it as a PDF so you can print it off if you want, way easier to read without the cropping to fit here. It makes a really good sandwich, better than any I have ever had from a restaurant.
