    5.7x28

I was deep into 5.7x28 years ago, its a really great little cartridge. I started out with one of the 57 AR uppers that uses the 50 round FN PS90 mags. I got the FN handgun and its a great shooting gun, very different than most of the other stuff out there. FN said they were going to release a...

    Doesn't look good

That guy was amazing, top tier human for sure. Watching his movie, I was thinking the whole time that no one can climb that many of the 8,000ers and cheat fate for as long as he had already. He earned a place in history for sure.

    7mm-08 load for Weatherby

Its worth cleaning the barrel before you retest those Barnes, they might shoot even better, I have really seen them improve when not mixing cup and core and monolithic projectiles.

    7mm-08 load for Weatherby

So just to recap, the bullet killed all those animals. IMO 7-08 is a 350 and in cartridge regardless, but I prefer more headroom than most.

    7mm-08 load for Weatherby

    Oh I know, the 150et in a 308 is so damn close to a 140et in a 7ht its nearly a wash.

    7mm-08 load for Weatherby

You lost all of those animals to inadequate expansion?

    7mm-08 load for Weatherby

What game did you shoot the ETip into?

    7mm-08 load for Weatherby

Thats different from my experience, I load for a friend who has dropped a cow elk, blacktail, and a large feral hog with a Howa Superlight in 308 and the 150et. I'd think the velocity in 7ht with a 140 would be great for reasonable hunting distances. I do know that the ETip has been easy to...

    7mm-08 load for Weatherby

I'd for sure try the 140 ETip in that rifle with Varget or Big Game, should work pretty good. The 132 Hammer HHT would be near the top of my list too, those HHTs just seem to work for me in everything.

    Thoughts on the best 1911 / 2011 in 10mm

I had a Delta Elite and it was a great gun, really too good. It had the two tone polished blue/matte blue finish, and I just couldn't bring myself to beat it up in the field. I ended up migrating to a G20 with a KKM barrel. If I was doing it again with your criteria and budget, I'd probably...

    Rem 700 deluxe, savage 11, Howa 1500, DPMS LR260

Man, I wanted one of those DPMSs in 260 back in the day....

    What are you currently reloading?

Big Game ended up being a little slower than RL16 and showed pressure sooner. Think I'm going to back down a little on the RL16 and call it good.

    What are you currently reloading?

I have some Big Game too, just might give it a stab.

    What are you currently reloading?

With this test today, it right at 2950, out of a 20" barrel. I'm out of room with RL16, haven't decided if I'm happy with that or if I'll be trying a different powder. Accuracy was excellent.

    What are you currently reloading?

Just ruining some perfectly fine Peterson SRP 260rem brass and testing a couple new projectiles, 163hht and 138hht in 300wizzum and -06 with RL16.

    What are you currently reloading?

Things got a little weird at the range. Not that 17m2 ever looks big, but it’s comical next to my new 33 Nosler from @p_ham. Projectile is some oddball overrun from the Nosler factory store, it’s a 227gr ETip that is similar to, but not the same as, the regular 225 ETip. Performance with a...

    2026 NV results

Had a good year after some lean ones. Pulled a shorter than group hunt with my dad, niece, and family friend, her first tag ever. And somehow the 091 rut rifle tag for myself, I had 12 points so I wasn't really expecting to draw. I've killed cow and spike elk, but this will be my first bull...

Looking for advice on necking down brass for wildcat

That isn't too much of a neck, so it should go pretty smooth, I'd just go straight to FL sizing with your 7M die, shouldn't need annealing with new brass. One thing with necking down, it pays to use minimal to no lube right on the shoulder itself. Really any lube in that area can cause dents...

Looking for a light weight.22 revolver

I really like my Ruger Wrangler, probably 80% as good as a Single Six for 1/3 of the money. Perfect little lightweight 22 that you don't feel too bad about beating up in the field. I'd also consider a Henry Garden Gun and a nice sling, not a handgun but arguably more effective, easier to make...

    Heather's Choice

They were at Sheep Show one year, and I really liked the packaroons, plus I'd heard them on a podcast and liked the backstory. So, I went on their site to order some and try some meals, but they had no inventory. I thought maybe show season had sold them out, so I checked back later in the...
