I’ve got multiple pieces from Sitka, FL, and Kuiu as well as several non-hunting specific brands. I buy clothing based on the specific need and don’t really care who makes it, or a camo pattern, so long as it is quality. That said, if I were comparing my 10 year old FL to current Sitka and Kuiu...
Do a search on Oldgobbler.com. There have been some good discussions in the past on this topic.
I’ve been handholding TSS for the past 10 years and keep going back and forth on continuing for the simple reason of I love eating wild turkey and despite tight patterns and head shots, pellets...
Yes, take the whole bird. Do everything possible to keep as much blood off the feathers, including covering the head with a plastic bread bag or newspaper bag and tucking it under a wing. The taxidermist can save all the meat and give it to you, but be sure to tell them that’s what you want. If...
I shoot Sportsmatch rings direct to the receiver and my buddy has the Unknown Munitions rings. I have removed my scope before and remounted it with no change in zero - merely a sample of one but enough to impress me.
When you say bullet seating depth is below max, are you talking book max or have you actually measured the distance to the lands on your rifle/chamber?
Also, you say unprimed cases chamber just fine. Are you fully seating the primers? Have seen this before.
Did a CO 3rd season drop camp hunt for elk in the early 2000’s. Did all the usual legwork vetting the guide, talking to successful and unsuccessful clients. At that age of the internet there wasn’t a whole lot else to go on. Pretty hefty snowstorm came in 2 days before season. We arrive the day...
Sadly in the Southeast it has become a combination of Spincast Corn Feeders + Cellular Trail Cameras that is getting a lot of deer killed that otherwise likely never would have been by those same people.
Did one this past summer. Agree with MThuntr, no replacement trigger but did make a noticeable difference. I did no other adjustments besides the spring swap.
Update to my previous post. Local shop said they had just shy of 600 to submit starting Jan 1. They have been working almost around the clock and keeping customers updated very frequently- great customer service. Did my paperwork on 12/30 and got the email late last night that my e-form...
Holding out until someone produces a $99 blister packed 3.5-25x56 tacticool scope with a 25 RPM specific reticle and enough turrets to make it look like a cactus before I jump in. Cool swag and stickers for my Yeti tumbler and range bag could sway me to jump in sooner!
Spoke to a local shop today and they said they aren’t able to get e-forms through during regular business hours so they’re submitting after hours and having success with them going through. And once they get through, approvals have generally been quick. We’ll see.
