    got my email just a bit ago,,and thought i had a real good shot for the s w desert north hams late elk hunt,,got a no go,,thats ok,saved $1950 plus a hunting licence price,,,good bye utah,i am done with them now.

    i wonder why wrangler quit making the camo jeans? i liked them, comfortable and reasonable priced,,cotton if they get wet was only issue like any other normal jeans.

    ive been thinking about the Leopold 5000 rangefinder or the sig version that does the on x map pinning. Was wondering if anybody has one of these yet and how they like the map pinning option and if they have found it worth the big money these cost?

    seems like the wyoming hunters set a damn good case really for all 50 states to follow,,sounds like this is lawyer b s to keep it in the court system and lawyers make more money fighting it both directions.

    6 1/2 lbs for the carbon fiber bog pod?? still way too heavy,,i think the shocky sticks are decent for the weight but a bit fragile,,there is room for improvement for sure,,lugging that 9 1/2 pound rifle sounds like a work out on a long hike.

    360 buck hammer has much better trajectory than a 45-70,,or do i just use my .54 lyman great plains muzzle loader.

    well if i get lucky this year and draw,im debating about getting a 360 buckhammer thats allowed under Utah hams regs ,,should shoot faster and further than a muzzleloader, but still have to use open or peep sights only, debating between a cva scout or a henry lever` action,,gotta draw the tag...

    got double reds for new mexico,,so im giving utah l e elk one more shot,,gonna hurt if i actually draw and get that $1950 hit+ the 2% proc fee.

    elk red,deer red,,at least ill get some money back, now to finish my Utah app just in time. Maybe try next year.
