    MT- M/S/G results 26

Should get results soon! Maybe tomorrow is the day some lucky hunters get the news on the tag of a lifetime? Who's in and what's your point totals now? I applied for all three as usual, going in with 21 goat, 20 sheep, and 7 moose points hoping to burn some one of these days.

New Mexico Outfitter Draw Set-Aside is Toast -Finally !

That is possible, it is also possible connected people start throwing money and influence around. It will all boil down to a big political game in the end sadly. Best thing residents can do is speak up and show up in a big way to possibly prevent that.

They call it an opinion for a reason. It's just that and they are not binding.

    WY preference point increase

Have a blast, I've had mine over the last two decades. Time to focus on transitioning into retirement and enjoying my own backyard more. It's still going to take me a bit to burn through some points. Some may end up being 30 point ewe hunts and just enjoying sheep country.

No they are not which is why this post title is highly misleading. You can bet many of those outfitters/ranchers have the ear of their local congressman.

    WY preference point increase

People love to hunt and they will make life changing choices to do so as cost go up. We see multiple guys relocate out west every year just on this forum. I came a hair of doing it in my late 20s to the point of having several job interviews scheduled. How long before all those OTC resident tag...

Drew a once in a lifetime Oryx tag for Rhodes Canyon, WSMR

Congrats on the tag. Super jealous I am now hoping someday I can draw a BHO tag. Best meat ever having Oryx tacos today actually.

    Montana draw 2026

After going to CO for the first time last year a low point unit was miles ahead of any MT hunt I've been on in the last twenty years.

    Montana draw 2026

We always hear hunters are the true conservationists. I disagree 98% of the hunters would shoot the last remaining animals on earth if the state allowed it and most states will for the simple fact they need funding to keep people in jobs and fuel in vehicles.

New Mexico unit 51 setting my goal too high?

You mean the thread the OP started after making his 10 post to get his information to never return? I'm gonna guess no since it's been two years and you found it in a Google search. By the way congrats on a killer tag big bulls all over that unit.
