Motor vehicle trails discourage foot hunters.
Motor vehicle hunters are among the top 10 percent laziest hunters in existence.
This absolutely can be used to your advantage, and I have seen areas ruined for hunting by closing them to Motor vehicles.
You can use a red dot or scope with no magnification.
I have tried traditional iron sights, red dot, 1 power scope, and a peep sight on my muzzleloader. The only thing that I have seen an advantage to is a 4 power scope that I tried in order to see how good I was shooting iron sights. I ended...
I sold a couple of thousand dollars' worth of elk antlers last spring and put the money into an old pickup project that I am working on. No regrets. In my experience damn few people care about your antlers or guns beyond their monetary value.
I got me some Big Game powder and tried it in my 22 inch .308 and got 2820 fps with 52.5 grains and a 165 SGK. There were no signs of pressure, but it is a compressed load to the point I couldn't get more powder in the case. I haven't shot it for accuracy but obviously 2900 fps is not possible...
I went the e-tag route this year for the first time and will see how it goes. I haven't fallen in love with dissolving paper tags.
If they sell my location the joke is on them.
In 2012 you had 12 points and today you have 26 points. Just like it says you have 26 to 1 odds advantage over a new hunter but no advantage over another max point hunter. With squared points you have 676 to 2 advantage over the new hunter but no advantage over another max point hunter.

You will still have max points, and you have bought every point that you have for about $2 a piece other than the 600 or so that you were gifted by a rule change.
30 yards with a smooth bore 3 inch 410 is a stretch in my experience. With a rifled barrel you would loose a lot more grouse than you ever recover past 15 yards would be my guess.
I have been using a balance beam scale for 50 years and I actually don't know if it weighs exactly the same as someone else's. I do have an electronic scale that I use for some things like sorting cast bullets, and I believe it is less consistent than the beam scale.
I got some tooth ages back today from Matson's. I killed a whitetail this Nov. and was quite surprised at the age. I sent in 6 teeth from critters killed by members of my family and my son's hunting buddy. I will just post a pic of my whitetail. None of the critters were as big as one might...
I have killed a few deer with a 22 long rifle, a few with a 223, and a few caribou with a 22-250. All with 55 grain Hornady soft points. I know people who have killed elk with 22-250, 220 Swift, and 22 magnum. All of these 20 to 50 years ago. I don't see little bullets being any better than...
