Have them in my grubby little hands now. The full euro replica actually weighs a little bit more than the real ones. Very happy with how they turned out.
Based on last year and doing a rough calculation because they have the 1st and 2nd choice that both really gets a chance it means that the 4 nonresident bighorn tags given last year (1 to nonguided and 3 to guided) will go to zero. The odds for those were .04% and .09%. 1 in 2,669 and 3 in...
This isn't a done deal. It's a request by some legislators.
In all likelihood the lumping of bighorn codes is going to be the only change as a result of this, just like the rounding change forced through. The outfitter set aside has been challenged before and wasn't knocked out.
Basically...
Maybe I should sell some of my DINO or donate some of it to charity while it is high right now.
My best bang for the buck lately has been donating highly appreciated stock to charity. I get the deduction for the full market value, the charity gets the full market value and no one has to pay...
Posted this on the original hunt thread, I had forgotten I had a separate thread for the taxidermy.
First part is done. Ended up getting a full euro replica and the skull cap replica. Seeing the pictures I think he looks just a tiny bit better on the right side so probably going to get him...
Probably should wait until I actually get them in my grubby little hands but I'm too excited to wait so I'm going to share the pictures that the guy doing the replicas sent me.
It was a bit on the expensive side but since this is more than likely the only sheep I will shoot in my lifetime I...
Got my mountain goat unsuccessful email. Have 2 point charges on the credit card so think one of those is for my son for sheep. I did Desert this year since I had a tag last year.
It's somewhat humorous to see a 4 page thread arguing about cumulative burden of taxes which really tells you how complicated the tax structure is that we can argue about it for 4 pages.
You can just about spin it anyway you want to support what you think is right. Consumptive, net worth...
It really is hard to understand how the market has been so resilient through all this. Back to all time highs with what seems like a lot of uncertainty to me. Typically uncertainty is what the market really doesn't like.
Of course I didn't buy or sell during this little blip, pretty happy for...
My first tractor was a 1945 Farmall M. I think I bought it in 1999? I paid $2,500 for it and it sold brand new in 1945 for $1,700. It worked good but I decided I wanted a 4wd with a loader. Sold it for $3,000 after owning it for 3 or 4 years.
Been looking at Greenland for Muskox and Caribou. Also a Canadian moose in Newfoundland I think. Those seem to be pretty good bang for the buck right now. Probably looking at something on the 2027 or 2028 range.
My wife is still using hers. It's not a 100% game changer but it for sure has allowed her to do things that she otherwise would not have ever been able to. We used it on our trip to New Zealand and it made a big difference. She uses it getting through airports and that is also a big help.
I'm in the camp that says that Globalstar is inferior to Iridium. Pretty much always has been.
I'm curious on people's experience with the T Mobile setup where they are using Starlink instead of either. The globalstar deal is with AT&T - not Apple. T Mobile is using Starlink with Apple and...
You can chain the wireless fence ones together. Mine has one in the barn and one in the garage about 100’ away. Kind of makes a figure 8 and is right around a full acre. I’ve had it for close to 20 years and several different dogs.
lol- almost exactly what I posted 3 years ago.
