Bragging about shot distance is about as g*y as wearing Sitka IMO :D.
I will say this...My buddies daughter just got into hunting this year. I've enjoyed seeing the photos of a young lady next to a fork and horn deer and a doe antelope with a grin from ear to ear and a walmart special .270...
I just looked it up. Depending on the area some sell for $10,000 to $15,000. More than I realized. Unfortunately I believe that hunting is rapidly becoming a rich man's hobby. I try to apply for deer tags in areas that are not popular that area use to be 041-042. As people pour into Nevada...
Me and my son drew deer tags and doe tags to go with them. Unfortunately, I really thought I had the points to draw an antelope tag, but it continues to evade me.
I feel very similar to this. I'm not sure what happens with does but sometimes I can't keep it together. This year I had a doe antelope tag and I was locked into a tripod everything was solid. Everything other than the energizer bunny the was housed in my right leg. That thing was shaking like...
Took the kids to casper wyoming with whitetail doe tags. We saw antelope and mule deer in abundance but absolutely no whitetail. We had a ton of fun but will not do that hunt again.
Can I ask which GMU? I pulled a private land doe tag this fall and am looking for a landowner willing to give me access. I'm happy to mend fences or shovel horse stalls! Also very happy to walk a ways, get my belly in the dirt, and not be one of 'those guys.'
The Japanese Akita is a breed of dogs that is so close to wolves. They were bred to fight Japan’s Brown Bears in pits. These bears are close to Grizzlies and still found on Japan’s large island of Hokkaido
I had a big male Akita long ago when I lived in Wyoming. His name was “Nick” short for...
General elk on the NF for archery season then private land.
Cow elk on private land.
WT license and mule deer on private, MD numbers may just be better than last year but we'll see.
Spouse has a pronghorn license here close to town and we've been seeing some good bucks, so hopefully an...
yea, that must be it...
My wife taught public high school chemistry for 15 years, until just three years ago. Try again...
I figured you had all the answers based on your initial post. And now I know!
bye
That was a fun day...the dried blood from the arrow was still on his shoulder on the opener of rifle season.(2010)
If I recall, you killed an 80 incher with your bow on the way home that day.
$48 for an antelope doe tag is joke. If there were leftover tags and an abundance of antelope I think that'd be a fair deal. But it doesn't seem so fair for the antelope at the moment.
Looks like my days of drawing multiple antelope tags are gone. Haven't been successful in drawing doe tags last few years. Probably be doing day hunts and hunting solo this year unless I find someone to tag along. Buying deer tag OTC and mulies I am seeing mostly in the AM and after dinner.
The best wild game steak I’ve ever made for myself was the tenderloin from a NM doe antelope. I did get the hide off it and the meat on ice as soon as possible. Delicious.
A few people have seen him and said, "Well, knowing he doesn't make books would you still shoot him."
"Bang." "Bang a thousand times over."
I own what my friends call the greatest collection of almost... ALMOST BOOK.
I wouldn't hesitate on any of those hunts to do the same thing. If I'm in...
Buddy Holly energized a sleepy America. His songs and guitar playing went from 0 to 60 in a heartbeat! Gas was 19 cents/gallon and muscle cars were born then. Vrooom Vrooom !
Below is a link to his huge 1957 hit “Peggy Sue”! Such an explosion of energy. The musicians are in a race. The...
Public schools are different today than when your kids were is school Today public Government run Schools are a disaster. Nevada is a different animal most Ranches depend on open grazing permits and those lands are open to the public. I hunted a ranch in Wyoming for free because I had a doe...
If sitting in a blind were difficult, no one would do it. My guess would be the vast majority of antelope are killed from a blind on water. I've sat water and basically had opportunities every day.
My whole point with my original comment is nothing about this proposed action "kills" hunting...
