You're better off putting 235 away every month, and saving it, then to waste your money on them. There are a ridiculous amount of horror stories out there. It's a scam.
I have a few Leupold's, and no issues, I don't go out my way to abuse them either, but at some point they've all taken hits, same with the few Vortex scopes I own, they've been banged around as well. I don't get the hate some have for either. They're hunting scopes that get used and they work.
Yes I have, for many years, using either John Deere, Bobcat or Takeuchi tracked skid steers. They do the job, however like their wheeled cousin, the do slide on occasion depending on conditions. But because of their bigger footprint they are slightly faster at clean up, and because of the larger...
I use mine all the time. Can't miss it, it's the beat up looking, reliable one in the safe. It's accurate, not tough on the shoulder, and just puts game down. Some may put it down for lack of bullet choices, but honestly most find a load that just works well for them and go hunting. I refer to...
Well I have some experience with this, I just recently returned from a Maine bear hunt. The area I was hunting had virtually no cell service, but I was able to text with my family back home using T-Mobile and the satellite link. Worked well, I was even able to send pictures, which was slow to...
My condolences to his wife, children and family. Charlie Kirk carried a light that spread wide, now all that has happened is that light has spread into a fire that will continue to grow.
I've been pretty happy with my '24 Forester so far. It is my first Subaru, and current hunt/fish rig. I hate to say it, but it gets me to my hunting or fishing destination just fine and its way better than my Ram 1500 on fuel consumption.
Yeah it's fine to own as many as you want, and whatever caliber you want. I personally try to keep different calibers that are significantly different from each other, i.e.- 30-06, .35 Rem, 6.8W, .338WM. & of course .223/5.56. I just don't see the advantage of certain calibers when compared to...
I wouldn't rely on double tapping anything, use a good bullet, as others have posted, the Barnes TTSX 80gr in 6mm/243 is great on deer sized game, get them to fly around the 3200fps mark and go hunting.
No purpose, just another sales pitch saying it fills an alleged "gap" between the 6 & 6.5 creedmore. Does it do anything better than anything else out there? No. Will it boost rifle and ammunition sales? Probably.
If you have the money to spend, then yes it's worth it. Can you get factory and or semi-custom rifles to do the same thing? Yes, and for a whole lot less.
Yes, I keep a chambered round, safety on. Missed a chance at an enormous black bear one time, because in the moment it took to chamber a round, he was gone. Also many times I missed opportunities at good bucks for the same reason. Maybe if I lived out west, where the forest or woods aren't so...
