I’ve got a few trigger techs and a couple Timneys, and aftermarket springs in some Tikkas. I prefer hunting triggers to be around 1 1/2 - 2 lbs.- D_Walt

Plenty of out of the way places to cross and I don’t think someone intent on terroristic activities would cross at the port of entry or a BP checkpoint (which are 30 or 40 miles from the border). My son shot a whitetail doe with a 77tmk out of a 223 this past Saturday, 100 yards or so, doe weighed 99 pounds on the hoof. Right behind the shoulder, she went about 20 yards. Not a drop of blood, no exit. It killed her just fine, but in our extremely thick cactus and thorn scrub brush...- D_Walt

Tikka shooters- Mount the scope to the factory dovetail, or add a picatinny rail?
I have three tikkas (well, they’re really my wife’s and kids), one with a rail, one with Unknown Munitions direct mount rings, one with the old factory rings, all see a lot of use, and all hold zero with no issue. If I get another, it will have the UM rings though, they seem very solid. -
What Sport did you play growing up?
Played soccer, got fat, then played football. Got lean, strong and faster. Discovered beer in college, got fat and slow again. No records, state championships, or athletic achievements of note. My weenie is short, my elk are small, and I’m good with it 😜- D_Walt

Henry vs Armadillo
There was an infestation of them at my grandparents place when I was a kid; if you saw grandma running through the field with a big rock you knew she was after one…she never shot a gun in her life but she stoned many an armadillo. I killed a great many with my .22 as a kid.- D_Walt
