Colorado Unit 20 Late Elk

Use my dads 1970's 788 rem 243. The flatest shooting gun I own. Never had to adjust the 0. Dead on with dimes. My experience is that I use a quality round. Barnes is my choice. My gunsmith said the quality of ammo is so good now that it can kill anything. -
In Praise of The Winchester .270. Any good words to say about it ?
I had a 06 for years. Got sold on the 270. It has dispatched multiple elk and deer with no problem. It is a flat shooter. I have a 788 Rem 240 too and that thing flat out shoots rounds. Grouping on a dime -

Ouch- I started cleaning too fast twice. Once it was freezing and I couldn't feel my hands and Put a knife through my hand the whole way. The other time I had a deer leg up skinning and the knife slipped and went into my leg. That one bled bad. One little lapse and ouch!- Lab
