    2025 OR Sheep

    I have been putting in for over 40 years here in OR also :). Luckily I have family in AK and have had the opportunity to get a couple sheep there myself. I hope you draw here in OR soon! Good to hear you've been successful in AK, it is a lot tougher these days it seems.

    How to trap a skunk?

    Use an enclosed trap, like a poly trap, let them know you are there by talking or tapping on the trap with your foot. Pick it up slow/steady/quiet with out sudden moves (pay attention to your shadow on sunny days, as this can startle them through a poly trap), put it in a drowning barrel/tank or...

    Ha, Both of them :) I actually told myself, I wasn't gonna keep anymore bear hides, since i have quite a few. But he was such a cool bear, I thought I'd take out the portion I'd need to make a half mount at least! He has some pretty cool blazes on his chest also!

    Fall Bears

    Started off the fall season here in OR by filling my 2 bear tags. Got a little boar in the river canyon and was kind of spoiled with a "sweet deal" on the second; I had an opportunity to hunt an old unharvested cherry orchard :)
