I think teams should have to play into the CFP. The rankings heavily influenced by commentators are obviously way off. #2 lost to #10. Last year #1 lost to #6.
Something similar to NFL might make sense. In other words, if you win your conference, you still have to win another game to get in.
They have one more game to win to be elite.
Stats don't mean a lot after the fact. People are pulling all kinds of weird stats out. Indiana wouldn't have been worse had they pulled their starters, but the scores would be less lopsided.

I think it says they are similar against a common opponent. My point is it's hard to draw a conclusion that Indiana is that much better. I agree that those two games only say so much.

Understandable. We've been told Indiana is the best by a lot for quite a while now. :D. But, I saw the Indiana-Ohio State game when Indiana only scored 13. We can pretend it was because Ohio State defense was so good. That is believable if you didn't see the Miami vs Ohio State game. Miami...
