Leupold scopes love or hate em?
I wish the Leupold vx3hd 3.5-10x40 was a bullet proof scope. The last couple I’ve had I haven’t had any issues with but my trust still isn’t there. -
One gun to do it all .25 sst (Sherman short tactical)

Are suppressors over rated?
No experience with these but just remember shorter means less suppression -

That’s what I use. I make it in the summer. Throw some sifted dirt on a black tarp in the sun and let it dry. Once dirt gets good and dry and hot throw the wax flakes on top and let it melt in. Once melted mix it up and let it cool- brockel

Waxed dirt is probably a better option. I believe coyotes are born already guilty of something so they are extremely cautious all the time. I think a pile of sand would put them on edge even more if it seems out of place .- brockel

Are suppressors over rated?
No it’s a sealed center fire with a shit pot full of cheap 5.56 through it. I throw it in a glass of CLR over night then rinse it out and hook it to the air compressor and blow the rest of it out -

Got a few cats sets out finally yesterday afternoon. Went back in today to get a few more out and found this waiting for me. Blue Christmas tinsel was its kryptonite. Followed its tracks in the snow and it was walking about 100 yards away. Once it came into view of the tinsel it turned 90...- brockel

Tried those and I still never remembered to stick them in my ears. Especially while wearing a stocking cap which is half of my hunting season. But if it works for you that’s great -

The constant ringing in my left ear says it is 100% worth it. Hearing aids aren’t cheap If you can convince yourself to always wear ear muffs when shooting even when hunting it’s probably not worth it. Myself I can’t ever remember to do it. I even tried the noise canceling hearing aids... -

I’d sell guns that I have to fund a suppressor. I won’t shoot without one anymore. Neither will my kids. I wish I had one 20 years ago maybe my hearing wouldn’t be shot
