Extreme hunting pressure in region 7.
When I was in NE Montana a few weeks ago I saw a wheeled ice house parked on state land…with MN plates. Overall pressure seemed down slightly. At least fewer people out walking and maybe more out road hunting.- tystash

Compounds- How old is too old?
I still have a Mathews Outback that I use for my backup bow. I have as much confidence in it as my newer bow. -
rifle for beginner/youth- bolt? single shot? other?
For a rifle, my first was a bolt action and that is what I taught my kids with. For a shot gun, I had the break action single shot. -

Montana Regional Caps and Limited Entry for Mule Deer.
Don’t know if it’s been mentioned in all the numerous posts, but how about limiting the season to 3 weeks for Region 6 & 7 every other year. This would apply to R and NR. The seasons would have to match up in both or there would be a stampede to the other during rut hunting. The same number... -

2022, although could have shot one last year too, just missed. If it’s not what I would consider a respectable buck, I will let it walk. -

Extreme hunting pressure in region 7.
I think we are going to see more landowners pull their land from Block Management. Besides the numbers of hunters, I think it’s the lack of appreciation shown. Whether it’s in-state or out of state hunters, they think public land is theirs because it’s public and they can do whatever they want.- tystash
