In the handgun world….I have found buying the higher end productions to be as equally good as a custom.
Rifles probably see a lot of the same overlap there. For hunting anyways.
Of course there is a difference if we are talking about specialized for competition.

Korth and Spohr are in the same level of quality.
Where Spohr beats them for me is the fact they take S&W optics bases.
The rest is personal preference. I like the balance of the Spohr better.
It’s one piece. It’s polished around that portion. On a double action revolver there is always some drag line from the cylinder stop. This prevents that.
