    Hi Buzzy,


    I drew one of the 5 bull archery tags for the 2026 Central Coast hunt (383) and am planning to hunt Camp Roberts. I saw your post mentioning you had info on how the base hunts are run and would appreciate anything you can share.

    I've made contact with Camp Roberts and am working on locking down access. Any info you can share would be hugely appreciated. Thanks in advance!

    This year I have no idea how it’s gonna be done either. I know they finally decided to give access to the base at the last minute and can only assume they’re gonna give access this year, but that was the whole complaint about management last season with them basically not communicating.

    If they choose to allow you to hunt the base, the two liaisons they have that take you out are good. At least the two that they had the last several years have been really good. No idea if they’re gonna be using the same liaisons this year or not.

    Don’t let them talk you into shooting the first bull you see. There are plenty of amazing bulls on that property and you just have to find the one that you like. Sorry I can provide more information but things really turned over the year after I hunted with how the base is hunted.
