Regarding job search in the Boise area- The Treasure Valley is comprised of Boise, Meridian, Nampa and Caldwell. So you have two countys, Ada and Canyon. Real estate- Kind of depends it you want to live in a subdivision or a neighborhood. Most of the newer subdivisions are to the west of Boise. I do not like to commute so live pretty much in the center of Boise. Five minutes to the river, 20 minutes to the lake, 16 miles to ski area. Can be out on the desert or to the range, shooting in less than half hour.
