I'm 58, married, kids grown and 3 grandkids. That may seem too old to some, but I stay in pretty good shape. I'm a farrier by trade, so physical work is nothing new to me. I have worked in the mountain states in the past and aclimate reasonably quick to altitude. I have been looking into a backpack hunt for a couple years, and it will be my first elk hunt. I have no issues about the hunt, just getting the meat out without wasting any. I have done some research in that GMU (25). I've also looked quite a bit in 81 as well. Please let me know what you think.
