    SOB Stole my caller!

You know, when I first looked at the picture, I thought you were going to tell me that this was your version of Randy Watson's predator huntin rig. You know, I thought I knew how messed up you Nevada guys were, but DAAAMMN! hehe.. you freakin' crack me up CS. :D <Mental note, don't mess w/...

    Help a confused rookie out...

Bala, funny thing is, I've taken 2 coyotes off my ladder. This one was 20 yards on the move. Here's the other one. He was 80 yds out and all I could see was his head. This one was as lucky a shot as they come.

Cal, good to hear that this thing wasn't dropped off by Elvis on his last visit from space. Although I would find it a little disconcerting if this guy wandered all the way here from Wyoming. (he didn't take THAT long to come to the call) Bruce, that's what I was thinking when I downed him. He...

BTW guys, the term "pulling it outa the ole rectal database" is a jovial term of endearment amongst IT folks. It shouldn't have been taken as an insult/challenge at all. You'll pardon my unannounced use of programmer slang in mixed company.

Bruce, my comment was simply that thus far, this seems to be quite an anomaly, and that passing it off as a "lean, summer time,Arizona coyote" is just a tad on the ridiculous side. I defy him to come out and find me another one like it. His post gave the impression that this is a run-o-the-mill...

"Looks like a lean, summer time,Arizona coyote to me" I'm curious how many "lean, summer time Arizona coyotes you've seen. Because, this doesn't look like ANY coyote I've seen, anywhere, anytime. So, was that analysis pulled from the ole rectal database? C'mon.. you can tell us.

TBone, I think you may be on to something. If I'da known that it'd be setting records for the ugliest coyote, I would have been more inclined to skin it. Ahh well.

As much as I hate to link to another site, I hate even more re-posting the same thing over again. So, I posted some pics of a kill over here PredatorMasters - What the hell is this thing? and I'm wondering what your thoughts are on it. Thanks.

    Just Starting Out

I'd also go w/ CD's instead of tapes. If your boombox only plays tapes, dub the CD's to tape from a home system. That way, when you want to upgrade to a CD or MP3 based e-caller, you'll still be in business. As far as areas, you can head east of Gold Canyon and pick either side of US 60. Just...

    Beaver Pelts

TBone, on the contrary, I've found that the souther beaver tends to have less fur. In fact, in many instances, I've found them w/ only small strips of fur on an otherwise bald beaver. Interestingly enough, they are extremely plentiful and fairly easy to snatch.. I mean catch.

    Beaver Pelts

Beaver gets prime around here in about a month or so. That's when all the co-eds hit the ASU campus for the year.

    Most devastating varminter in cyberspace

This little feller made the mistake of crossing my path on a bad calling day. Ground squirrel, meet Mossberg 12ga extra-full choke, 3" #4 heavyshot. Point of impact, 15 feet, corpse landing spot, 20 yards. Sorry he's not a little cleaner, I think he rolled a bit on landing.

Ok, how about this one, "Slydog Calls - So effective, they'll even call in the stiff dead ones."

    More fun w/ Rich..

Alright Rich, but I still say making me wear the deer cape and antlers during the rut is NOT an effective coyote lure.. Oh, and don't feel bad, my hairline is making its last stand before retreating down my back to my heels. I figure by the time I'm 50 it'll have made its way back around to my...
