I know a couple of people who, no matter what hunt they are going on, what animal they or someone else takes, it's always about the score. This scores better than that one, I wouldn't shoot that one, etc. They are totally fixated on score and I honestly get tired of all of their texts and emails...- Wind in His Hair

Increasing Warmth of Sleeping Bag
I contacted WM and they suggested the Sea to Summit liners. I ordered the Reactor Fleece liner...supposedly can add up to 14 degrees F depending on the rest of the system. Def gonna get some of those down booties as well. Goose feet gear looks like the ticket- Wind in His Hair

If I have a 20 degree bag, but need a 0 degree, can I wear goose down pants/a heavy base layer top inside the bag? While I prefer sleeping in boxers and a shirt, I'd rather not have to pay for another bag if there is a more practical way to accomplish the same thing I will have a 5R pad FYI- Wind in His Hair

Coastal AK/BC goat hunting seasons
What is considered a late season goat hunt in coastal Alaska or coastal BC as far as dates/time of year? Other than billies having longer hair than early season, what are some things that are unique about "late season" vs "early season" or "winter hunt"? TIA- Wind in His Hair

Elk Rifle Conundrum
I appreciate all of the responses. My gut was to just roll with the 300, even if it's heavy. I'm definitely not a fan of the whole "long range hunting" thing. While I do practice at 600, I've never killed anything farther than 317 (mountain caribou). Last elk I killed was 275. Was crouched under...- Wind in His Hair

Yeah that's definitely not me. I have a 600 yard range within an hour of my house. And being near the coast we good a good amount of wind. You have to qualify by putting 5/5 shots inside of a dollar bill on a fresh target at 300 with a Range Officer watching the whole thing to even be able to go...- Wind in His Hair
