    Art of The Deal

The current "Deal" postpones every substantive nuclear question. The MOU contains no enrichment cap, no centrifuge limits, no stockpile ceiling — only a commitment that Iran "shall not procure or develop nuclear weapons" and a vague agreement to discuss the stockpile later. By contrast, the...

Another One Bites The Dust... So long Kuiu

Some former SIMMS guys are part of the mgmt. team for KUIU now, and KC Walsh has some $$$ stake. It won't be the KUIU of old, as the SIMMS playbook contains plenty of lifestyle pushes, retail expansion, etc. as part of the plan. At the end of the day, the core, DIY hunter (real or perceived)...

Another One Bites The Dust... So long Kuiu

None of these moves are inherently fatal, but together it is the same old PE playbook: widen the customer base, grow revenue, and eventually exit at a higher multiple. The risk isn't that KUIU's hunting gear will suddenly become garbage, I think it is less obvious than that. It's that R&D...

The mount they went with really captures the animal nicely.

WTS: Winchester Model 70 .300WSM - Carbon Stock, Wood Stock and 200 rounds of ammo

For sale post-64 Model 70 chambered in .300 WSM. This gun was sold to me new, and it's only had approximately 50-60 rounds through it. It is a 2007-08 build. Currently it is in a vertical grip carbon fiber stock from Stocky's with custom Kydex riser. Also included is the original wood stock...

    2026 bears

This bear was at 7300', and fed his way up another 200' or so before I lost him in the timber across the canyon. I took these and some video through the spotter at 1300 yards from where I was glassing. There was zero snow above him to the ridgeline over 8k. Lots of greenery at that level, and I...

    Spotting scope tripod

I will second the Tricer set up. I have the lighter BC tripod, but that LP pan head is awesome; the panning feature (hard to explain) is really slick, and makes grid glassing much easier and more precise. That would be my vote.

    Conservation or Big Beautiful Ballrooms?

This is the most accurate statement I have read in a week. Just think if you had to interview and hire trump for a key role in any company, and you knew his background, bankruptcies, cheating, etc., or had to sit through his "answers". I don't think there is a business owner with half a brain...

    MT- M/S/G results 26

And another big fat zero for MSG...year 22 or 23 now? I can't remember how long it has been, but this is getting depressing.

    Montana draw 2026

Out of curiosity and my lack of experience hunting mule deer out of state, which states have a good/workable program in place in terms of mgmt? It would be unbelievably satisfying to see MT steer the mule deer ship in the right direction in terms of limited draws, weapon choices, rut season...

    2026 bears

You have given me hope! I needed to see a bear on a hillside to keep me sane.

Hunting backpack that works for carry-on

I would agree with the others on not doing it, and using a more airline travel friendly option. Hunting packs suck as carry-on bags. And if you get the good 'ol TSA random check at security and swabs on the pack, it is not a stretch that they will pick up gunpowder residue. I carry ammo in my...
