Colorados new first rifle deer

Solo Elk Hunt in Colorado: Am I About to Embark on a Glorious Disaster?
The packout is the most important issue. I hunt solo, the last bull I killed was 1.7 miles from the truck. At my age (68) it takes me 6 loads to pack out a boned out bull plus the skull/antlers. Wildlife commission steps up to the wolf plate
I will have a celebratory beverage when Tuchton's term is done which I think is next month. Everytime he opens his mouth, I cringe not only because of what he says but the way speaks. That process seems ripe for corruption. The governor could appoint anti-hunters who vote against science-based wildlife management for nearly a year before they get the boot. Why not have the governor make recommendations and then have the senate vote on them before they actually sit on the... -
