Muskrats - It's what's for dinner
It is a piece of smoked fish that is sold in a wrapper like a beef stick. I don't know why they were called Blind Robins. After a couple of beers with eggs, smoked fish and muskrat or even a limburger and onion sandwich you were ready to go home to mama!- troydave

When is 'old' too old?

Deer - lets see em
My sons 2016 Wisconsin deer. He spent over 200 hours bow hunting for this buck and killed him the second day of rifle season with a gun. He said it almost felt like cheating but couldn't pass him up. -

37+ bighorn sheep have died in a pneumonia outbreak at Montana's National Bison Range
The wife and I were at the Bison range in early October. It was sad to see these rams so weak they couldn't stand up without shaking. Baiting Bear Help
In Wisconsin I would use dog food and pour cow molasses on it and also would spray liquid smoke on the trees nearby. After a bear would hit this bait for a few days you could follow his scat for 50 yards!- troydave

WWII Roe deer???
That had to shot in England since we didn't get to France until 1944. My dad who fought in the Battle of the Bulge said they killed lots of deer and loved to eat venison instead of C-rats. Since my dad was from Wisconsin and had hunted deer all his life he and his buddy would go on meat hunts... -

Bear Baiting a Different Way
When I lived in Wisconsin I would do something similar. I would use dry dog food and cover it with molasis. I could buy it at the feed stores that supplied the dairy farmers. Often times I would burn honey when I sat on the bait or spray liquid smoke on the tree trunk at the bait site.- troydave
