My kids grew up shooting the .25-06, and still do. Don’t underpower your kids because you are scared of recoil. A wounded, but lost, deer will do A LOT more damage.
Thanks to all. Remembering the stories of the D-Day landings my cousin told me about. He told me right before he died at 94 years old that when it got warm in the end of May he still got nervous.
I'm with this. It's a great show as it is. No outfitters, no bait piles, etc. Just a question though, why does everyone always want to take kids on doe/cow hunts. Take 'em on a tough hunt. Teach them there is no instant gratification.
