I've hunted WY the past two years. Coming from WI, merriums are much easier in many ways- they gobble a ton on the roost so easy to locate. They move more then Easterns, but you can use that to your advantage. If you dont feel like hiking miles, stay put, eventually one is going to gobble...- tbowers

2022 spring turkey
What red dots are people running? Trying to find one that doesn't break the bank, but also that wont break. There are plenty of $30 ones on Amazon but guessing the recoil of a shotgun will scramble them pretty quick. I know a lot of guys run the Burris Fastfire- you can find them for $150...- tbowers

Way to many uncertainties in this life to wait around 5 years for something, IMO of course. Now i guess if you want to pile up points in some state while still hunting another state most every year thats a different deal- what I'm saying is I'm not going to sit around and not hunt and pile up... -

This was a great write up. Trouble with waiting to accumulate the 4-5 pts is those units that last year took that number of points will likely take 8-9pts by the time you get to those 4-5pts. Obviously depends on the unit but pt creep has struck pretty much across the board in the west--I guess... -

2021- Who got skunked?
Typically guys come to forums to post their successes, everyone likes hearing/seeing that. How about those that hunted this year and never saw an elk or never had a shot opportunity? Not trying to throw a pity party but there are a ton of learning points to pull from a 'failed' hunt and I know... -

WY Unit 20 Help!
Right there are a ton of units that even two years ago had leftover tags now there isnt a great chance to get a tag with 0 points even in a crappy unit. Will be interesting to see where we are at in five years -

I'd agree the fish are impressive. I'd never wait to draw that unit as its 7 points min right now, probably never catch it with point creep. That said, looks worth the trip for some fishing! -

WY Unit 20 Help!
Is what it is-Its not OTC, WYGF allocates a certain number of tags for non-res, people purchase them. I believe there were around 3k less tags this year then last year as well. You wont be successful if you quit. Adapt and overcome. -

I would doubt it as when you access via the app or desktop version when you click on the block mgmt area it has a link to the PDF doc for that area that has the specific regs. -

Just make sure if the block mgmt is Type 2 you do what is needed to 'register' to get in there before hand. If you have onx, it has the link for what is required for each Type 2 within the app when you click on it.
