Old Rifles and Barnes Original Bullets. .277/180 gr RN. 7mm195 gr. RN, 30 cal 250 gr. RN,,,anybody else use them?
When Barnes came out with their original X bullet it was a great bullet! People were saying that with higher velocities that the petals would break off. Causing multiple wound tracks while the base kept driving through. Performed like a Hammer or Cutting Edge of today. Then some idiot... -

7mm-08 load for Weatherby
From my experience with a first gen Vangard. Get rid of it! That is the only rifle in my 60 years that I was glad to see go! If it's not shooting accurately, it'll drive you to drink! And not in the good way! 😉- std7mag

More information needed! What cartridge? What bullet? Does it even need a crimp? I'm shooting 7mm WBY Mag without a crimp. Friend shooting 300 Win Mag without a crimp. 45-70 I do a light roll crimp, but my bullets are not cannelured.- std7mag

Opinions please!!!
The biggest issue that I have with Vortex is that they tend to flare out easily. Never had to send one in for warranty work. Been using a couple for 10+ years. I whole heartedly agree with @mtmuley on the Sightron scopes! I have (3). An SII 4-12X40 AO with MOA reticle. A STAC 4-20X56 MOA2... -

Actually, I can't use the 257 Weatherby that I bought from you. They have a caliber restriction in PA for elk. Going to be using my Mark V Weathermark LT in 7mm WBY. Now need to get on the elk since they redid the zones. -

Woohoo!!! The local to me distributor/wholesaler has some Alliant powder that I use! RL22 is $65.25 per pound. RL23 is $53.85 per pound. Guess I'm making a trip tomorrow!- std7mag
