Also reached out to 500 yards with this barnes 130 gr setup. For the vortex 1-8x24, 5 to 600 is about as far as it can go for me. It's a fun package to shoot. I will try to upload a video
Ya Colorado will continue with these changes. Following the same playbook from California. Sad that the western slope has no say in these issues as the front range population write the laws for the state.
Recently picked up a 20 inch 308 in the SFAR. Grabbed about a Dozen different boxes of ammo. After a good cleaning I took it to the range. Put about 40 rounds through it first day sighting in the scope. VORTEX strike eagle 1-8×24. Saw close to 2 moa in the wind with nosler whitetail country...
Heard great things about the Ruger American. I tried this just to prove spending the extra money for some higher end rifle doesn't always end up being a better option. Gonna try reaching out long range with this Cva setup when it warms up.
Recently went and put together a budget hunting rifle in 308. Went with the CVA Cascade in 308 from sportsmans. Threw on a vortex diamondback and took it out to the range. Shot both nosler whitetail country 165 and Norma Bondstrike 180 very well. Action seems smooth and a reasonably lightweight...
I see Randy used it on a whitetail in wyoming! The video just came out last night. Wish I would have got out to the farm for an antlerless tag to try it out.
Recently saw this ammo and picked it up in 308 nosler whitetail country 165 gr. Did a quick test today in crappy conditions it was 2 inch group laying down in the snow in 10 plus winds. Shot the same poa as my barnes tsx 168's . Got 2853 fps out of my aero precision m5 308 20 inch barrel. I know...
I have the leupold vx 5 4-20×52. I like it so far, cds is nice, good image and low light scope. Recently bought a vortex venom which is nice but it's definitely not like the leupold. Good luck and hope u find a black friday sale!!
I will agree Christensen can have it's problems and we all have heard from others experience. This Ridgeline is slowly feeding better and I'm liking it more and more.
