Cva Cascade XT 35 Whelen Finally!!!
windy day on the Caldwell seat that isnt the best for groups. Averaged 2667 fps with 225 accubonds. Found the sling swivel screw pushes on the barrel if you load into the gun resting on the swivel stud. No issues, fed everytime, accuracy will come out when I go to the farm when it isnt windy...- Stcknstringer22

I have been throwing on vortex on alot of my rifles. Affordable and for my use they work fine. Guys in the prs world, or guiding hunters 100 days a year might find vortex not hold up. Cva Cascade XT 35 Whelen Finally!!!
Finally CVA started shipping the 35 whelen a year after the announcement. After some rain recently might be safe to go test it out. Picked up some 225 gr accubonds. Slapped on a viper hd 2-10. What were your worst caliber/rifle choices
I guess my 7 prc Christensen Arms ridgeline. Gun is accurate but wont feed everytime and has had heavy bolt lift after 3 shot string. Twice bolt wouldnt lift without smacking the bolt with a mallet. Haven't shot it since last year- Stcknstringer22

The viper is mid tier in the vortex lineup. I like the bdc holds for hunting scopes. I would love a nightforce or another vx-5 but wife isn't on board right now with that.- Stcknstringer22

I guess I dont mind it, im not jerking the trigger. 1.5 moa is best I got around shots 17 thru 19. For a hunting rig out to 400 it will work!!- Stcknstringer22

It wasn't horrible recoil. Definitely a step up from the 300 weatherby with 180 grains. Get it down to moa and call it good. Vortex viper seems to be holding up to the recoil- Stcknstringer22
